Lost Desire :/

Did you not install Lookout or Where's My Droid so you could have found it later perhaps?

Tsk tsk.

I wish, gutted is not the word. Glad am the kind of guy that doesn't get put down too much or id be cutting my wrists right about now!

Have emailed you mate.

Wants another Desire - so bad! I'll just have to wait it out.

If I wasn't insured and If I lost my desire I think I'd have to beg borrow and steal for another :s

That's a bad beat losing such a great phone, I hope you can get another.

My home insurance paid out when I lost my Touch HD whilst snowboarding in Yorkshire last January.

Worth checking.

sorry to hear about your lose

was it a contract phone? or did you buy it out right ?

Yeah don't have a house! Or house insurance, unfortunatly. Hmmm wonder if I could do it on my dads.

Contract mate, even charged me a £10 for a sim card talk about salt in the wound :p.

Hoping to pick up a second hand Hero.

I have a desire and my missus has a wildfire. I would consider the wildfire for £180 if you can live with the poor screen.

To be honest I dont think theres that much of a difference apart from the screen (which isnt that bad until you put one next to the desire). The Wildfire does most the stuff the desire can do and will also get Android 2.2!

Good
Powerful Android operating system
Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity
GPS
Address book merges your contacts and social-networking chums
Syncs photos with Facebook and Flickr
Useful app-sharing feature
Doesn't look cheap
FM radio
Multi-touch support
Inexpensive
Flash Lite so you can see pretty much the whole Web

Bad
Low-resolution screen makes Web sites hard to read and hinders the user interface in places
Occasionally slow to respond to taps

Verdict
The HTC Wildfire looks and feels like a cut-down HTC Desire, but that's no bad thing. Its low-resolution screen doesn't show the powerful Android operating system at its best, but we can forgive its blurriness when the phone offers so many software and hardware features at such a low price

Cheers for that mate,

Though I think am going to try and pick up a second hand hero for £80-100~.

Can anyone who has went from the Hero to the Desire, comment on the battery life?
