Lost driving license - how to replace?

Lost my driving license card a few weeks ago, how do i go about getting a new one?

post office form or online site has a "order copy of my driving licence cos I'm a div and lost it" thing

you need to send off a form to the dvla which you should be able to get from the post office

less hassle replacing that than losing my passport on the beer would be

-not as bad as losing a few k like poor paras :/

I think you need the D1 form which you can get from the post office.

apply quickly! might be away of doing it online! Did you write down anywhere your license number? If you get caught driving without it you only get 7 days to get your license to a police station!

online one couldn't be validated, even though it's been the same address all my life

The paper part is not your license, nore is the card, it's both items. If you get a producer for a police station you have to produce both parts (speaking from experience).

no its not u can go to the police station and ask for an extention, if they say no then u wait till it comes and take it anyway, it then goes to court they find out u had a licence at the time and it gets thrown out anyway

Simply phone up the dvla, say you have lost both parts(very important, as they wont do it over the phone unless you have lost both parts), pay £19 with a card and wait 3 days.

No forms, no hassle and quick. If you do it the form way it takes a few weeks and the hassle of the forms.

just got round to doing this, did as acidhell suggested, took 65 seconds on the phone, fantastic

was £22 though, must have changed the price
