Lost my nerve

Ok, I haven't really got settled down with Doom3. Should I install and play it again? Although I know the chances of me quitting and uninstalling is 80%
 
avp2 is nowhere near as scary as avp.. which itself is nowhere near as scary as ss2 ... i got about 15min into that game.. pretty much the first badguy

i was rooting through these items on a corpse and there was a groan and i was being mauled from behind... the game doesn't pause when you go into the inventory!!!

fear had a little girl as the main badguy so is naturally quite scary as there is something freaky about evil little ghost girls
 
There was a game released arounf 2002 by wes craven.. Un something.. I found that a little freakish..

I've had SS2 for a while but never got round to playing it.. might do though woth Bioshock looking so damn tasty lol
 
I remember when Doom 3 came out, a lot of posters here didn't think it was scary. However it scared the **** out of me, almost as much as SS2, but not quite. Didn't finish either thanks to this :o
 
i doubt you lot will understand me on this one, but on the ps1 i used to have a game called 'Decent'. It wasnt scary, but intense, it was all about underground cave systems in your little space ship type things, and it would be dark in loads of places and you would hear stuff chaseing you down but couldnt see it... freaky lol, go get 30 quid and buy a ps1 with decent :) its a bril game, one of my first games i respectfuly played.

Yeah I remember that game like yesterday, I know exactly what you mean.
 
FEAR is ok'ish on the scare factor. It can make you jump but it doesnt make me not want to turn the light off.

AvP 1/2 were awesome games but didnt find either of them scary at all. Couldnt get into Doom 3 will have to try again.

Games that have freaked me out a bit are the likes of Silent Hill. I remember playing that on the PS1. The sigh of relief you would breath when in-game it would become daylight. Very unsettling game with a very unsettling story.

Resident Evil was quite scary at times as well, especially when I bought it again on the Gamecube. I remember killing a zombie and walking away only to hear it groan and then get up and this time come running up to me. Crimson zombies :eek:
 
OMG i was 13 when doom 3 came out and it has some of the most cheap scares ever. How can anyone be scared of it. Its a good FPS but its not at all a scary game. Havent tried System shock, will do lol.
 
ooo!! was thinking of gettin system shock 2 just because its scary and I wanna be a man.. well.. now I can get bioshock!! wooo!!! better be good. far cry scared me.. hl2 scared me! ravenholm!! FTL!
 
Man I wish games freaked or scared me as much as some of you guys. (Jealous).

I find games not scary but some can be quite "creepy" in places. I also like "Dark" games like Silent hill and The Suffering.

I am going to HAVE to give this SS2 a go though never played it before.
