**Lost Odyssey Official Thread**

Omg ive had this game since friday afternoon around 4pm..

Clocked up 19hrs on it.

And im on disk 3 already

haha.

Phenomenal game :)

The prison escape isn't even hard lol.

*hints* there are shortcuts that you can activate. So you don't have to go through the whole walk if you fail somewhere in the middle.

I'm on the black cave part now.
 
I managed to get through the prison first time with np :confused:
What bit are you struggling on?

I just reached disc 2 last night, not had a chance to play today though :(

Just keep getting caught by the security robots. I know that it shouldn't be difficult, but just can't do it for some reason. Will have another attempt shortly.

I think i began speeding up once i realised i couldnt be bothered to read the dreams lol.

My characters are around lvl 27-29 i think. Just returned to that town outside gohtza, the ice cap has melted or something so my path will be clear.

I dont feel ive rushed it, but i think once its complete ill play again :)
 
i got stuck on the worm for ages, was only till Haly mention the secret room was i able to beat it with Aqua. Just left Disc1 with Lv19 characters, certainly the best of its type on the xbox360 but still not a patch on FF series, close and enjoyable and the best your going to get i think.

hmm, Worm, As in the ones that appear at the staff that absorb the charges from the other monsters?

If not, Good because i haven't missed a secret room :p
 
The worm boss is easy, it doesn't have any other attack besides that flare crap when it is fully charged. Just keep the small mobs low in quantity and keep jensen on aquaing the worm.

Aqua being the key :p It's bloody hard without ;)

I hit disc 2 at about level 19 and 10-11hrs in. Not skipped any scenes or dreams but I do read fast so that probably speeds the dreams up slightly. Certainly not rushing through the game though. :)
 
i got stuck in the black caves tonite :( dam random fights realy started to get anoying, leaving me with no mp or health potions, and the enemys are all pretty hard :o.

i will get past it though.


plus i need some new weapons.

Haven't started on black caves yet, just right outside by the save point.

I did try going in to see what the mobs are like tho.

Basically Magic type, then aerial(wind) element mobs and earth mobs.

Just gear your heroes with the right ring I guess + 2 sorcerer doing the opposing element.

But always keep melee on the dark sorcerer cause if you use magic it counters it. And it doesn't take that long meleeing the sorcerer down.

I think the harder mobs are the ones at sorcerer house. God dam, the mobs between both dimension got me good. Totally different strategy needed.
 
Im finding the dreams quite hard to get through depending on my mood, im hoping to give the game a nice long go tomorrow.

12 hours in and just about to head to the Crimson Forest; so it looks like I'm being quite thorough.

Haven't had much trouble with any mobs so far and got mr wormie on my 2nd try with ease (once I'd have everyone learn protection from paralysis!). The first fight with wormie is the only time I've been wiped tbh and I just wasn't prepared.

Just can't get over how much I've enjoying this. Every dream is a joy to read and the skill system makes me not mind one iota when I get a random fight.

I do think the saves are sometimes a wee bit too far apart but I can live with it and haven't had to redo anything yet.

Over-all I'm already thinking I don't want this game to end!
 
I'm about 18/19 hours in and I'm at Experimental Staff. Slightly annoyed as I have been running around there getting in to loads of fights(spent about an hour on it) only to die stupidly when everyone used Forcea on me! Will play through it all again tonight no doubt.
