**Lost Odyssey Official Thread**

Well atleast i can pick the damn thing up(30 min walk after 25 mins on bus), ends up costing me about £43 when you factor everything in and its £36 in the shops....well atleast i end up with a decent case :p

Its back at home with me now, the case and discs seem to be intact. Will start playing in a second.....as soon as i tidy my room. I can't be starting a new game with a messy room, ruins the atmosphere :p

Tell me about it, I have the game, and I've not turned it on all weekend, I just have so much to do I can't get settled. :(

I've only just played around 3 hours, think I've just finished the mountains and the mines bit and got back to the world map for the first time.

TBH I aint that impressed so far...I mean I LOVE the FF series and have played them all. But other than looks and it being a TB comabt system, I dont see how its similar to the FF's, from what I can tell the only vaguely interesting thing you can do when fighting is the ring system (which i hate bu it could be cuz I still cant perfect much lol). And this skill system, linking to the mortals, is not even a mile close to materia, juntioning or any of the FF things. There's no summons either. My final main gripe (and its something I always have an issue with) is when magic characters near enough rely completely on magic to be useful, so when you run out...you are as good as a team member down. till you can get to a shop....that or you carry tons and tons of mana thingies

oh yeah, one more thing...there's the action list and doing different things change the order of who goes next but I cant see where you can check this. there have been times where if I knew using a healing potion would allow me to heal before getting attacked and using a healing magic wouldnt...I wouldve used the potion.

Erm mate, it did say that using item to heal is direct. The healing magic depends on the casting time of the healer. Some has casting time of more than 1, hence takes longer.

no, i get that....my point is that without seeing the changes your actions make to the order, whats the point?

maybe healing was a bad example, unless using pots ALWAYS means you go before the enemies?

Anyone near the end yet? I'm on disc 3 and a bit worried that my guys aren't going to be at a high enough level for some of the bosses.

How many hours have people racked up? As I'm still just at the staff on the first disk and i've had the game over a week, Just not had chance to play it solid. So I may end up with the game lasting me the year :D

AH man.. I'm still at the black cave, never found the time to play the game :(

I don't like playing RPGs for 1 hour then leave it. :(

Ah well, guess this coming weekend is the perfect time to continue.

its virtually impossible to not be at the right level.

Do you not think disc 3 is too cut scene tastic ?

Just got this the other day, enjoying it so much... would be enjoying it even more if it wasnt on the xbox 360... disc drive keeps saying " disc is unreadable ", trying to arrange a repair with MS atm /sigh

Girlfriend kindly bought this for me as a suprise present, havent started it yet as im too busy with Army of Two but hope to start it soon. Looks awesome from the trailers/reviews

I put this on last night, after a drinking session, and in my state decided to start again and delete my older save, as I'd not played it for a while. Now if my Sober self could speak with my drunk self I'd slap him. But now it's already done, I may aswell just get on with it

Well i played it up to the end of disk 4 with no help and i love it...

but i treated myself to a prima gameguide thing to help me make sure i miss nothing. been years since i had a book for a game, but its nice quality anyway

I'm on the train part on the 3rd disc. Really enjoying it, Jansen is a contender for funniest game character ever!

The dream parts are really well done and thought out as well!
