So I stupidly left my phone on the train while I was in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago and I accepted that that was that, it was gone.
I spoke to my network who I thought had sent a kill command to my phone but then today I had a notification that my phone had been turned on. It's in Spain!
I have sent some friendly messages informing them that this phone was reported missing and that I have their address and faces and to get in contact with me.
I also pulled an email address from the logs and have emailed the address.
I believe the phone is now turned off.
I'm sure the people who currently have the phone bought it in good faith so I will give them a few days to respond.
If they do not, is there any action I can take? I doubt it will ever been turned back on but I have their location (from the photos it looks like a house, a video revealed they were watching The Simpsons
). Is there any way of contacting the Spanish authorities?
To be honest, I'm not that worried if I get it back or not but it would be nice if I could.
