Has anyone heard much about this game? Looks good in the pics and videos i've seen, but im confused is this a single player or online multiplayer? it seems its a bit of both where players can just come into your game and help you?

This is probably the only game for the ps3 thats out soon that i am interested in but not sure if i can be bothered with an online game right now.

anyone have any news?
 
Getting it delivered on Saturday for X360. Comes with 2 exclusive maps if you pre-order online from a certain shop.
 
I'm not getting it after being tricked into buying the first as there wasn't much released at the time at it was utterly woeful.
 
Sorry guys no clues as its a competitor but plenty of mainstream UK specialists are now shipping this for saturday delivery as its a global tuesday release & they are obviously allowed by Capcom to ship now. I doubt if you ordered tomorrow it would not arrive Saturday as long as you do it early enough before say late morning ;)
 
Reviews are looking poor. Most are saying that due to your team-mate AI single-player is awful to play. Seems its only worth playing the storyline in co-op.
 
Played a review copy and not impressed, to be honest. It's ENTIRELY geared towards multiplayer. The offline campaign is designed just like an online game (you even make a "lobby" etc. for your AI chums), the storyline is pitiful compared to the original and the in-game AI is an exercise in frustration.

If you're heavily into online play and enjoyed the first game then by all means get in there. If you're eyeing this up for single player, forget it.
 
My ps3 copy will turn up tomorrow just got the confirmation email :)
I tried the 360 version last year before it got delayed im glad getting it on the ps3 managed to get a free t shirt and £2.00 off next game :D
 
Sorry I couldn't get back on last night stella, other half wasn't feeling too good (amniocentisis done earlier in the week). Was awesome playing co-op earlier though :) Will try and get on later today if I see you online.

Cheers for joining us yesterday it was a blast with me you and blueshrew .
We have moved up to chapter 3 mission 3 but if i see you on later and you want to join we can carry on from where you left off ;) 2-1 i think .

Due to how this game works and makes you play the whole chapter again if you fail some gave it bad reviews .
I don,t mind because it gives you a chance to get the gold medals we missed on the side missions , but we are really going to need 4 really players on the later levels due to the AI players getting in our way :(

Also im not sure what faction to join in online play because whoever you pick you stay with until the faction battle is over , which is ever few weeks i think heres one of the classes :D

 
It sounds a bit like RE5 - broken in single player, good in co-op. Looking forward to taking down huge beasties with a few mates :)
