Lost Planet 2?

I will be picking it up on 360 on tuesday morning. Loved the first one & had a chance to play some of 2 already & seemed good, definately one for co-op play though
 
it looks a lot more suited for pc to be honest because its so aimed towards co-op and it looks like communication is quite essential, i dont even have a mic for the ps3
 
I would like to know what people other than reviewers think of this. I'm quite torn after what I've heard which is a shame as I loved the first game. I could probably play it with one other person so I'd have two AI incase that will make a difference :)

I would give it a 7 for the co-op story mode there is replay value in that alone for me :)
 
I'm gonna be picking up a copy of this later for both myself and a friend, therefore we need 2 more for co-op... Anyone up for it? It'll probably take place after 7pm :)
 
got my copy today in the mail but at work at the mo so no chance to try it out yet, will do when i get home around 4 :) will update later
 
ok how the fk do you even do the training?

i never played the first game so i cant even complete the first training level lol, it doesnt even tell you what to do?
 
My initial impression were prety good.. Seems like a solid game and the ai didn't seem too shabby..

I've done the first chapter and quite enjoyed it... I have one major gripe tho..

The way the game makes you restart from the very beginning of the episode everytime you and your team die is stupid. Why not just have a checkpoint system after every cutscene... Speaking of which... Why can't u skip the cutscenes either lol.

So as an example... Me and 2 m8s got to the end boss of chapter 1 after playing through the 3rd episode for 15 mins... And when we failed first time we had to do the whole episode again.. Not just the boss!

It seems like frustrating madness.. Fingers crossed it gets better or this might be a quick trade in..

From the reviews I've read, it doesn't! :D

Last night, I finished mid-way through episode 1, chapter 3 because I was knackered. Now I have to start from the beginning of chapter 3 again because there is no save even after a mission!
 
there are parts of this game which make you pull your hair out and also parts that are just breath taking :D
im on the very last chapter after every mission there is option to save or carry on .
i find getting weapons out of fruit machines a pain only got 2 so far , this game has to be played in coop to get the most out of it ive certainly had a blast going after category G akrid with a vs suit and a friend on the side with a blaster cannon .:D

There are episodes, each having multiple chapters and each chapter has multiple missions. You can only save at the end of each chapter. So you have to do all the missions in a chapter. That's what's nuts.

i stand corrected i meant episodes ;) so if i would have saved after each chapter i wouldnt have had to play all of episode 3 again drove me round the bend :(

not sure how many medals are available for each episode but i dont think it matters what difficulty setting you have it on .
was going to post a pic with the medals but it would let you know how many chapters are in each episode so i will leave it ;)
 
this game so reminds me of starship troopers.

gonna play it a bit more this weekend, I did the first few levels and wasnt too impressed so far.
 
ok level 3.3 is killing me (repeatedly) & the having to do the whole episode/chapter/whatever is really beggining to ruin the fun. God knows how many times I've worked my way along that train.

So if any one on xbox needs some one for co-op (even if its an earlier level), drop me a FR. GT SpectralRaziel
 
nice one. I'll be about online from about 8ish tonight. don't mind doing any of the earlier stuff again, I actually started again from the beginning again last night just to improve my scores a little
