Lost some Hardrive

Hi all

Running Vista with Samsung 250gb Sata HD

Decided to download Windows 7 and duel boot it so partitioned off my hard drive and went to install it! after I partitioned it I had a problem with missing NTLDR so I carried on to install it on the new partition anyway... got it install but on the reboot nothing was happening. So to cut an even longer story short I ended up using my vista disk to formate the 2nd partition and then I "deleted" it, now I have lost over 100gb of my hard drive any idea how to get it back?

Boot from a gparted livecd, reformat to whatever arrangement you wish, then install windows 7 on the first partition

If dual booting XP/windows 7, install xp to the partition at the front of the drive, then install windows 7 to the second partition
