Lost: The Game

my personal review

Gfx

Great, I found the world of lost to be quite well done, and character models decent, even though I'd heard they were bad. You really do feel like part of the show

Sound

All the sounds background wise drove me mad, but they are very LOSTish pieces of music. The most notable missing things are the "previously on LOST" voice, and that of charlie and locke (who sounds like steven seagal)

Gameplay

This is obv the main part of what makes and breaks a game, so I will say it clear, if your looking to explore the island on your own forget about it, this is as scripted as they come, doing the tasks is all you have to do, and you cannot stray from this path. This IMO is a massive shame as a lot of people would have liked to muck about by themselves and thus increase play time.

The actual gameplay is looking at roughly 6 hours, only twice did I shoot anybody, and 3 times use the trading system which gives the feeling of being "tacked on" to add interest.

The meat and potatoes of this game is just running to one place, flicking a switch, and running to the next place. The emphasis is on LOST fans being able to explore the sets on TV in more detail, with hidden rooms etc. If this does not appeal to you then don't even go near it.

All in all, from a big LOST fan's point of view, this is definately worth a rental, but don't waste your cash, This will be in 2nd hand bins all over the country in 2 months time.

It's a very hard game in the sense that if you die, it won't tell you what you did wrong, many trial and error aspects of the game. To see for yourself just watch this youtube walkthrough, showing the 1st few minutes of the game

Geez playing this game on my sickbed and it i'm kinda wishing I'd died. I thought Jumper was the worst game I'd ever played on the 360 til this little gem. If this game took them more than a week to make I don't know how.

Utter ****

You love it :p

Use that guide I sent you, it makes it slightly less painful. Slightly.

I'm stuck. At the bit where you have to turn the backlight on to see the hidden maps to photograph. I can find one of them but not the 2nd one???

The 3rd one it says you photograph in ep6.

I had the same problem and only photographed one of them.

1st one is on the door in the room you use the computer, the next one is in the main quraters through to your right? you need to close the doors in there for it to show.

Be careful you don't walk out into the corridor else that section will end but you can come back later and mess around with the doors and lights as much as you want.

I got it when you come back in the next section so it's no big deal if you don't get it now.

Got it cheers, just got the last one to get on ep6 now. How absolutely random is that bit in the grass to take you to pearl station.

Yeah, that's just bonkers. How are people supposed to find that? And what the hell is it? Just crap design.

Wife rented this today, and so far we've spent an hour looking at a shoe, a corpse and a chair, running up and down one preset pathway and being told to bugger off by Kate.

Awesome game.

Mate lent me this a month ago finally got round to playing it. What a load of tosh! Barely any action, rubbish dialogue, weak graphics, linear gameplay, poor controls. Oh and it's only took me about 5 hours tonight to finish it. Definately a big disappointment for me as I'm just getting into the show and enjoying it.

The game is rubbish but I dont know how anyone can say the graphics are weak. The beach is pre rendered and looked amazing on my tv. The different hatches all looked great too, faithfully recreated.

Really I was blown away, probably due to the weak nature of the rest of the game. Difficult to say but I think it's the worst game I've played on the 360. That or Jumpers.

A really difficult game to make though and not give too much away about the show.

I was playing it on my 40" 1080p Sammy and I thought the beech looked bland in comparison to other games. Just thought the game in general was a letdown.
