Have you ever lost something, then found it months or even years later?

I've been going through my loft and found my old Jessops camera bag which I knew was up there. Opened it up and found a £10 note which I obviously forgot was there. Nice little surprise to start this weekend off :-)

Money's always the nicest surprise. Found a £5 note once that I'd thought I'd lost. Being about 13 at the time, this was a relatively big deal.

There's one easy way to find something. Buy a replacement. The one you've lost will show up within minutes of getting back from the shops.

Found remote control for my tv about 4 months after losing it. It had magic'd it's way into the understairs cupboard :(

This.

Lost my only pair of glasses after a heavy night on the town. So head into town next day to buy some new ones, only to find that when I get home they were sitting on the breakfast bar. Apparently they had been in the garden. must have fell off when I was being carried/dragged in :D I did look before I left but I never seen them (which isn't surprising as without my glasses I'm pretty blind).

On the plus side I now have 3 pairs.

PS. Terminators + dirty shots + 1 pint cocktails are an evil mix :(

Remember my Mum getting a cash Christmas bonus at a work do once, and Dad, who'd had a few sherbets, putting it away for "safekeeping" when they got home.

After a couple of hours of frantic searching the next day they gave up and wrote it off.

6 months later it was found in the bathroom cabinet inside a tub of Vaseline.

Lots of things!

Keys are always a good one
Money
Original game boy
etc etc

Keys always turn up as soon as you have had a new one cut. ALWAYS.

Absolutely this.

Lost my car key.
Almost certain they were in the pair of jeans I'd thrown in the bin.
Ran outside to check the bin on the street, emptied 10 minutes prior :(
Purchased a replacement from BMW at £130.
Turned up a week later under the back of my bedside table. Fuuuuuuuuuu.
