Lost

I seem to remember reading that they had the material for 6 or 7 seasons, although if they drag it out that long is anyones guess. Season 3 should hit the states around late Q3 of 2006.

When is series three coming out?
Its airing in September in the US, so probably the new year here.

Does anyone know exactly how many series they will be making?
The actors are contracted for 7 seasons, but that doesn't mean there will be 7. That's a standard in the US with a get out clause etc etc.

Dam you...1 minute grrr

This will probably be the last season that pulls in the viewers.

Either way, they need to change the shows format quickly.

Agreed the writing isn't actually that clever. Half the show on the island, half with the character background. For me it's got old already. It isnt hard to or clever to come up with 50 islanders and reasons for why they might be there.

I no longer care.

I think Lost will have a good solid fanbase as it'll become one of those cult shows. Viewers will drop off with every season but I reckon the numbers each time will get lower and lower.

I can't wait for the next season to come out. We'll definately see flashbacks in s03 as the back stories for the main characters need finishing. Maybe this will be the last season with them?

I think it's the best American drama show I have ever seen. I could quite honestly sit and watch an entire season in one sitting if I had the time :D

October 4th is the debut of season 3.

LOST is an awesome show, slightly annoying at first but for all the right reasons. You cannot be impatient with lost you just have to go with it i love it.
Once the prices drop i will be buying all the series on DVD and keeping those for life. Top show i just love the insight you get on the characters the story the set the whole thing. I can't wait till i can have a marathon LOST session watching it all over a few days. Crap and food breaks only and full on LOST in LOST.

my problem with lost is the amount of adverts in it and the facts its so slow paced, it could do with being half as long

Lost is the best show to come out of the US since the X Files ended. Can't really see Lost lasting 7 or 8 seasons but you never know it just might..

BTW talking about the X Files I think they ended it prematurely, they could have done a lot with the Doggett and Reyes characters...

the way this series ends it leaves a hell of a lot more questions un-answered than answered. Although I think 7 series would be a little over whelming!

I think it is a great show, its the only thing on TV that I can honestly say has me tuning in everyweek with anticipation, until I got fed up with that lol. She hates it, tells me to shut up when I start to get excited lol :p

I liked 24 got the first series on DVD, but different genres to be honest, well imho :)

LOST is way too slow paced than dare i say it...24

Why compare them? 24 is an all-out action show. Man runs round with mobile phone and gun. Man shoots people. End of. I'm not trying to say Lost is 'above' 24 in any way (i enjoyed 24 whilst it was on the Beeb...), it's just wrong to compare them.

I think a lot of people got confused with Lost because they judged it from the first few episodes (and probably got caught up in the hype), and thought it would be all-out action on the island. It's just not i'm afraid. It's very character-driven and although even i'll admit it gets slow at times, i have faith in the writers that what they're telling us is for a good reason. Plus it seems that whenever i get really disenchanted with it, they come up with a complete head**** for you! :p

I love it! :)

Agreed, only way I can watch it is to record a season and then watch it one after another with the ability to fast forward the adverts.

24 slow? you kidding?

I really hope that the producers don't try and drag it out over 6-7 seasons otherwise it runs the risk of people losing interest and they pull it before getting a chance to finish. I remember this happening to Odyssey 5.

And which bits would they be (from the ones that have uk aired) I can see just about all of them coming just as soon as they start. I dont think I can think of a time when a twist hasn't been seen from a mile off.

I'm not saying your wrong, just that i'm curious to know what you didnt see coming???
