I'm not sure quite how or why I managed to stumble into this thread... I generally avoid such area's of OcUK as they are packed with irritating fanboys and bitchy children.

However, since I'm here I can't help but wonder why people are insisting that TurnipHead use smilies?

From the content of his posts I certainly don't see any need for them. Smilies would only serve to make light of his statements, and why would that be necessary? Except perhaps unless people around here can't read negative posts without taking them personally, and thusly need reassurance that his statements basically read as "I may not agree with you, but hey, I'm only kidding!".

I think people assumed he was joking with his comment implying intellectual superiority by "understanding" Lost. Most people here would have used a smiley in that case, I think.

But every man to his own, just no need to knock other people tbh.

I and the vast majority of others in this sub forum are neither "fanboys" or "bitchy children". Ta ;)


Anyway this is a Console forum, and we have all gone off topic (discussing the TV show and not the game)

People who bash Lost havent give it a proper chance period. I was reading an article on game's website this morning about it as they got to talk to ubisoft about it and I think it sounds really good. They have some screenshots up on the website too and it looks great

Not at all, it wasn't actually anyone except him that couldn't take the negativity. As soon as someone said something negative about a tv show he likes we got a personal insult on not being clever enough to understand.
 
Listened to someone talk about this on a podcast yesterday, its based on events in series 1-2 and before 3 ( sorry if thats obvious but you never know). So it doesnt impact on current story lines. So if you haven't watched the TV series or played the game you wont be left wondering what you missed. Could be good, im not a big lost fan but may be interesting to see what extra info about the series you can gain from it.
