GF got me this for xmas and only just got round to watching em, anyway ..
On Fellowship of the ring, all footage after Chapter 15 is un-watchable .. it skips over and over, audio is scrambled etc.

All other films play fine in the player, was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
Company named after something children do are refusing refund because its tested and "works" even though it doesnt on either my blu ray or a friends PS3.

Is there someone else i could go to? i know in the past Universal etc have swapped dodgy disks out..

If the bluray player is up to date and so is the PS3, how did they get the disc to play for them? Sounds like a dodgy dodgy disc, but it is sods law that it works for them and not you.

Not quite the same problem, but the same company. I was bought 24 Season 1 for Xmas and didnt get around to opening it for about a month. It had two Disc 2's and no Disc 1. They refused to refund or exchange and told me to speak to the distibutor. They wanted me to send the boxset back to them in America recorded delivery so they could exchange it. The postage was worth more than the boxset. Ended up downloading a copy of disc 1 and burnt it, my reasoning being that i own the original so am allowed to use a copy.

Have you got anywhere else you could borrow another disc from? Either that or buy another copy from there through a mate, swap the discs and just return it under DSR?

Ah you can't return it now can you? It's such a pita sometimes but is why I order from Amazon. They have a comparably long return time (90 days?).

Perhaps go to the distrubuter/New Line Cinema? Drop them an e-mail?

Update! I did this, and got a reply.
They'r sending me a replacement, woop.

They said that they have this from Play all the time, because play (in their oppinion) dont actually test returns properly, and then sell them on again .. leaving falty disks in circulation.

Anyway, its sorted now :) good times.

Awesome - send this reply to play and tell them they've lost a customer.

How did you contact them? Ive just found i have this same problem :(

Did you show them what play said? Would i have to go through the hassle of contacting play?

I would assume you would have to go through play first, could be wrong though.
