Wife's focus has a *big* problem with moisture on the inside in the mornings. What needs looking at?

condensation on the window usually means moisture in the car. Check the carpets, door/window rubbers etc for leaks and see if you can spot anything obvious.

Is the spare wheel on the inside on these? Had this problem in a Cavalier and the spare wheel cavity was half full of water coming in from a dodgy seal on one of light clusters

A tray of cat litter (clean of course) works wonders for drying cars out. Much cheaper than the proper dehumidifier crystals. Obviously the problem needs fixing first.

I bought a 'Air Dry Car Dehumidifier' from Halfords, sorted it for me.

Alternatively, a damp catcher, a quid at Asda.
Aldi also do refills for them think theyre arouns 1kg little sacks of the damp sucker pebble things think it was 4 sacks for £3.99

Or amazon have then in little sacks too

Also check you haven't got air recirculation on. A friend of mine complained her car was really misty all the time. I went for a drive with her, turned recirc off and happy days it slowly cleared.

Think is that just masks the problem and doesn't fix it, personally I would go for finding the cause of the damp and stopping it and that will fix the problem.

Its not always that simple. My damp / misting problem only occurs when its really cold and often wet. I leave the house and walk to the car, get rained on or get my shoes wet, etc, and get in the car with it. I then turn the heater on and some of that water evaporates, only to condense again on the inside of the windscreen when the temperature drops. Its not like that's a fault with the car...

So what 'fix' should I peruse? A new house with a garage, or move to a warmer climate perhaps? I bought a 'Air Dry Car Dehumidifier' from Halfords, sorted it for me.

I've never had the slightest issue in my 05 st220, and I don't run the a/c very often either. I do make use of the heated w/s, though.
