Lotus

It could have been. I was using the date Eyedot made the post, if he had got the car earlier he probably would have posted it earlier.
If Lotus are selling that few cars then the wait for a new one can't be too long :p

That's not Eyedot ;)

Good news! Lotus has this afternoon confirmed that a winding-up order that was applied for will not result in any further action against the company.
Lotus added in its statement that the winding-up order had been the result of a contractual dispute earlier this year, which had since been resolved amicably. As a result, the court has dismissed the petition.

All of which means we can breathe a sigh of relief as the company looks able to continue its day-to-day business. Our original story is below.

No huge surprise that a focused sports car manufacturer has low sales in winter the month before new plates in the current economic climate.

Last year Lotus registered (IIRC) 137 cars in total, that's just over 11 a month. Those figures represented a 50% drop on 2011's.

To put a bit of (admittedly meaningless) scale on that, Proton registered a total of 208 in 2012.

Hopefully Lotus do better overseas. Last thing I would want is for them to fall over.
