Loud, Tappy shoes

I have to agree with the OP. I love the distinctive clip clop sound that a good pair of shoes makes on a hard surface, particularly when walking along office corridors with hard floors. Gives you an air of elitism. No place for rubber soles. As soon as I see a man making no noise as he walks, I just think "Matalan shopper".

You know what, this has always been a subconscious thought to me, but you are dead right! :)

Shoes of that sort are a surefire way to trigger Misophonia in me. The same thing applies with flip flops. Don't ask me why, I don't get it either!

I like rubber or whatever it is nowdays - I can walk up behind someone and go "BOO" :D

Tippy tappy shoes are for women.:rolleyes:

nothing like the click and long pair of legs. :):)

Loud shoes here as well. Nothing like the crisp sound of leather sole on floor to make one feel superior to one's quieter compatriots. Particularly when paired with a suit. If you wear quiet shoes with a suit you may as well wear your underpants on top of the trousers.

I hate men with shoes that tap when they walk its just so annoying, they sound like women in high heels.... tip, tap, tip tap aaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I also find it annoying and don't understand why you would want this?

It sounds like you have stepped on some drawing pins!

BB x

I had to insert drawing pins into the heel of my marching shoes back in the days of cadets as they weren't 'clicky' enough.

A true expert walker/stalker/hitman can stealthy in noisiest of shoes/boots yet still make their footfall known when needed ;):D.

I like the noise of my leather soles on the ground, but they're not loud like some of you think. They're not stupidly loud shoes with a solid steel heel.

Is it just a bloke thing to like shoes that make a nice loud tap when you take a step?

Nothing beats the sound of my size 10s slapping the ground as I stride through Paddington station in a busy rush hour. There isn't anything quite like it to make your presence immediately known to all around you.

That is all

I read and i thought

My shoes tap becuase they're cheap and nasty; the soles are more like a hard plastic coloured to look like leather. They're also very uncomfortable. :(
