Grrr.. I've got a reasonably fit body and broad chest/massive shoulders, the only part of my body that i absolutely cannot control is my love handles and to some extent my stomach, looks like i got a globe by my midsection :D Not a heavy drinker and don't pig out much anymore but just can't seem to shake it off  I do a skier exercise machine and some rowing but still, would jogging help any better? Cheers :)

My main issue: I look damn good in clothes as it does not show and the rest of my body is decent.. take it off and sometimes girls get amazed.. for the wrong reason :p

If you're already doing cardio exercise, then it might just be a question of what you eat and drink. The biggest noticeable difference to my figure and health, out of all the various exercises and dietary changes I've made, has been the total elimination of carbonated drinks (with the rare exception, once or twice per month, of a small bottle of Lucozade when at my local cafe, as I really like the taste of it).

Before the decision, I was drinking about two litres of the stuff per day. I switched to just water, juice and milk (but about 90% water), and although I was in no way overweight, I saw a lot of me go in weeks.

I'm in a similar situation, but only a bit thankfully.

I do plenty of cardio at the gym but can't shift it. Although I do booze A LOT but I'm not going to change that - it's not THAT bad :p

Cutting out sugary drinks seems a good start plus I need to work a bit on my diet :(

You need to get your body fat % down too 7%< or your never gonna see a decent defined 6+ pack.

Luckily I have a fast metabolism so can eat and drink shed loads yet still only have a body fat % of 4% :D

Cut out as much sugar as you can. Eat complex carbs and limit your carb intake on non training days. I dropped from 14%+ BF to 10% without any cardio just by adjusting my diet. Made it down to 8% with a 1 weeks low intensity cardio before xmas (altho 1 too many mince pies has pushed me back up) ;)

Carb intake is the key!

I thought it was 11% to start seeing a decent 6 pack.

the first sentence is rubbish.
the second sentence is potentially rubbish, doable but not healthy.

I agree...theoretically :)

Yes, but therein lies the problem - have too little, you're messed. Have too many, you're messed. I can control fats and proteins, but carbs? No chance :(

Yeah I do the same thing every time after christmas, or just a lazy patch. I switch to water, drop the booze (well at least drop it to a very low level), and change my diet to just tuna with cut green beans (good drop I really like it!). Then do situps with two reasonably light dumbells crossed against my chest. :)

Normally works a treat, will probably do it soon as I've fallen fait to the mince pies this xmas too :o
