Lovely, lovely Cressida...

Mantas with ET0 rims exhibit no issues...And Chevettes with ET10 rims exhibit none either....

How do they bypass the rules of vehicle dynamics. The centre of the tyre and centre of rotation are going to be so far apart. Bump steer anyone?

What is that *n you put after your posts? I've always wondered

Er...ET0 means that the mounting face of the wheel is in the centre of the rim. On a chevette, that brings the centre of rotation about 30mm closer to the centre of the tyre.

My name's Nicky...I started doing it on Usenet about a decade ago and it became habit...

It will move it 30mm away I bet, well it may move it through the centre and then some more.

Centre of rotation on an ET0 wheel will not be the centre of the tyre due to the suspension and KPI

Under no circumstances can a Cressida be described as lovely. One of several older jap cars that make me want to scoop my eyes out with a blunt spoon.

Sorry penski but I'm just not getting it. You've posted loads of pics lately but to me they all just look like old sheds on deep dished rims. Surely there's more to modifying than fitting silly offset wheels and stretched tyres

aye, old toyota's that are about as exciting as an austin maxi :|

I like the red one. I saw a satin black Polo coupe, on the deck on red & polished wheels in Swansea the other day, anyone you know penski?

I know what you're referring to with regards to wheels etc. My old Golf had Vauxhall wheels on with some bizarre offset. Yes it tramlined and bumpsteered but you could drive it round at "normal" speeds with no trouble. It could be a handful in the lanes, pulling this way and that, but the handling wasn't "ruined", just made more unpredictable.

Not offhand. Sounds a laugh though. The guy who runs r-r may know him - he's in Swansea.

Woody the Pooloo lives 'round that way too:
