Low 3dmark06 marks

Thanks! The trouble was with the forceware 158.24 drivers. I installed the drivers which came with the card (forceware 100.**) ran 3dmark again on 2.6Ghz and scored 10883. I think thats sounds ok to me. Gonna push it to 3.4Ghz now to see the increase,if any.

10883 is GTS performance, you should not settle for that lol :p , uninstall the drivers, run driver cleaner then re install the latest drivers, even do a fresh install of Windows if that dont solve it.

With an E6600 at stock I would be expecting more than 10,000 tbh, maybe even 11000, overlocked at 3.4 that rig should be getting around 13000+, with my E6600 at 3.2ghz and my 8800GTS overclocked to 650/2.2ghz I get around 11400 and thats with a GTS.

13000+ bit optimistic arent we?

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17741390

That link shows only poeple with c2d's at 3.7+ and gtx's with very high clocks (like 670+ and 2000+) are getting in the 13000's.

Ran it on 3GHz with stock clocks on the gtx and got 11,789. I think if i clock the card further and push the e6300 towards a stable 3.4Ghz clock i could go past the 12000 mark. Anyway, main problem was with the PCI-E frequency in the bios. Whenever i clocked the fsb, the pci-e frequency automatically goes up and since i had it on auto it was choking the gtx. As soon as i set it to 110 the proxycon highest framerate went up to 91 as compared to 27 before. Thanks everyone for your prompt help. Now my next target would be to get my e6300 clock sorted out.

I was basing the 13000 estimate on the fact I get 11442 in 06 and I have a GTS and some other guy with a GTS got around 11800, then again on futuremark you see some guys with 8800GTS's getting 14,000+ , but there CPU's are super powerfull.

At all stock I got around 10200 with my GTS, I cant check as I cant be bothered to underclock my overclocked system lol.

yeh but your e6600 clock is 3.2ghz, and not forgetting you have a very high overclock for a gts (running higher than 8800ultra speeds) i mean there are people with gts's that may have a close score to me or beat it because they have quad cores or c2d's at about 700mhz more. This can raise not only the cpu score by a substantial margin but also help the graphics card produce better sm2.0 and sm3.0 scores.

I've been having this exact same problem. Overclock systema nd graphic card seems to die. superpi is fine and everything seems ok.

Even set PCI-E to 100mhz and still scores drop to half what I expect. Fresh install and tried slightly older drivers I used before for a couple of months and still problem persists.

Whats your 3DMark06 score?

try setting the pci-e clock to 110, u should see a big difference in score, theoratically. I surely did.

Today ran 3dmark at 3.2Ghz with stock clocks on the gtx and got 12002. Im very sure that if i clock my card i will improve on that. Also ran stalker on max settings @ 1680x1050, all sliders to the max, it ran without a hitch. This game surely has major stability problems but that aside its a good game.
