Low 3DMARK06 Score

It is Low!
What res are you running at? leave it at deault. Also make sure you are not forcing FS AA of AF in the nvidia control panel. I have a similar rig you should be hitting about 14K
Jonnygrunge.

1280x1024

And i dont think the AA is forced on it think its just lets the applications decide.

I don't think that is low actually, not if you're running stock @2.4ghz. A mate has a similar setup to you. BFG 8800 GTX OC2, 4gb ram, vista64 but with an e2180 @3.2ghz and he scores about 11300. When i was overclocking my e2180 to 3.2ghz my 3dmark score was flying up every 2-300mhz i did. I reckon if you were running at about 3.4ghz (like a lot of e6600's do) you score would be a lot higher.

I don't take too much notice of 3dmark06 scores these days. My mates system is exactly the same as mine. That includes overclock and memory timings, apart from he has the 8800gtx oc2 and i have 8800gt OC. We score about the same in 3dmark06 1280x1024 but when playing crysis @1680x1050, his is noticeably faster

thats good to hear, i thought i had a low score.

If you wern't overclocking then that would be quite a abit faster. Even overclocking you would probably get more out of it than you could the e6600. The only problem is i dont think you motherboard can take 1333 CPU's ? Unless it can with a newer bios i'm not sure

thats why its been sitting in my drawer for 3 months, im not sure how to flash it, ive read the instructions but it sounds hard:p

Got to be a floppy boot.

:(

Bloody stone age way of doing things, all BIOS should be able to be flashed through the OS imo.

Well ive just put in my e6850 and ran 3dmark06 and my new score is 11493 thats 1153 more points.
Is that score ok, or should it be a lot higher. Im gonna have a go at crysis now see if i notice a difference.
