low fps?

Im getting what I assume is low fps when playing fallout 3. According to fraps im sitting at around 30-40 when nothing is happening and its dipping down to as low as 11 when theres more action. Im playing the game at max setting at 1920x1080 and im pretty sure my pc should handle this game pretty easily. All drivers are up to date so im clueless as to what it is, every other game is ok except this one. Thanks

Same specs as me!

This game works perfectly for me at 60fps+, so I'm unsure why you're having issues? Try a re-install of the game, could have had some issues with the game installation? Has it been like that since you first installed or is it a random thing?

What driver version you running and or CCC version?

I can confirm that GPU will run that game at 60fps without even breaking a sweat. Do you have a CPU overclock?

Have you done this first? If you have a quad core, FO3 sometimes crashes a lot. Try this, I dunno if you'll get better proformance

Reinstall drivers (properly), reinstall DX, curse your choice of an ATI card?

No idea about other AMD cards but the 6950 is a beast for what you pay for it, mine has never given me any issues at all. even drivers have been pretty good but then again I don't update straight away.

So far ive tried enabling it to work on 2 cores and I downloaded the 1.7 patch but no luck. I had it installed before and I dont remember having this problem so im going to install it again. As for the current driver im using catalyst 12.8
