i"ve only been getting a maximum of 25fps and a minimum of 9fps on the lowest setting and it goes down to 4/5fps if i turn the setting on medium. It is getting about 14.5fps on cinebench 11.5 too :( . Can i do anything to improve these scores without buying a better graphic card?

Fair enough :)

Yes unfortunately you are looking at paying realistically around £100 for a card that is adequate for gaming :(
good job Christmas is not too long then. I think i'll have to make do till then, I still need to get windows 7 and a 16:9 screen.

That is just dumb! The 680 has only 2gb! Why not stick 3gb on the 680 and keep it on par with AMDs cards?

Guessing, it will be GDDR2 or some cheap rubbish and not GDDR5 which is expensive.

I remember years ago a mate bought a 8500GT with 1GB VRAM and gave it the biggun that his card was better than my 8800GT because it only had 768mb of VRAM :p

it's gddr3 at 1000mhz

Not everyone looks beyond the fancy marketing on the box. More memory can suggest that it's a better product than it really is, and unfortunately, people part with their hard earned cash thinking it's some dx11 heavy weight contender.

Spot on.

well i got it because it was cheaper than the 1gb version at the time so it didn't do me any harm getting a 2gb one. It can't be any worse than the 1gb version.

Agreed and older games it will be okish with. Just not modern games sadly.

What is the rest of your system Jumper?
