Guys,

I have two drives im selling very soon, both SATA,

The only sata ports i have are on a onboard Hi-Point raid controller.

When i use the normal disk i have, which autoboots from cd it does not detect these drives.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get these drives clean.

Cheers

boot into windows and format them? as in boot off your normal windows drive.

not sure why this is so hard to do? post your drive configuration, i must be missing something.

I think the only way you'll be able to do a low level format on them is if you can connect as single drives in ATA emulation mode on the RAID controller and it'll depend on the controller if that's supported. You might be better off looking for something that'll write repetetive ones and/or zeros to the drives while in windows.
