Had only one day at the Loop last week, the planes from Thu.
Cheers to all the pilots who make this possible.

Enjoy :)

Another superb set Martin, looks like you've got to grips with that D3 of yours!! :)

I'm hoping to get up there this week sometime, although the weather forecast doesn't look all that promising...

Superb shot of the Tornado with wings swept, don't see that enough!

Cheers guys, Tooks/Iain,.......... Graham and I are out there again tomorrow looking for Vapour shots, if your out we'll be low down on Cad!!!

The French Alpha's are arriving at Valley tomorrow as well, so there is a slim chance they may be through :)

What lense/s are you using? Cracking shots, super sharp. Are they very hard to follow/ track and do you use the 51 point 3D AF Tracking in the D3 or another AF mode/setting?

Very nice shots. So jealous of people who can get down there so easily!!

Are they the french Alpha's that are currently at Cranwell?

Lens was my beloved Nikon 400mm 2.8vr,... use 51 point on the D3 as the AF points only cover half the sensor, ( centre point with the others as assist if you drift off ) and matrix metering.

DF, I am spoilt, only live 20 miles from the place, these are the Alphas that are back
from last year.

Troop do you have a link to the full res of the 2nd image you posted at the top?

If its ok with you id like that as my desktop b/g if possible!

Great pics Troop I love the swept back Tornado, gutted I wasn't down there last week as there was tonnes of traffic, tried to go on Friday but my car decided it didn't fancy the trip. Will probably be July now before I get back again.

The Tornado pilots seemed to be very helpful, saw the post over on fox2.

Didn't realise you lived so close to the loop, I think I'd be down every day if I did.
