Looking for a decent keyboard with low profile keys. I am quite liking the low profile keys on my netbook, and my full size Saitek Eclipse is starting to bug me with with keys not responding, even though I have taken the damn thing apart 3 times to clean it in a short period of time.

I have been looking at some Logitech's, their illuminated looks nice, but at £50 is more than I would want to pay for a keyboard. Saitek do a slim backlit one, but that got a few poor comments due to keys sticking from users.

Anyone got any recommendations for no more than £30?

i was a bit iffy spending 50£ but never looked back awesome keyboard and couldn't be any happier. but if you really dont want to pay that much think the logitech media keyboards are ok as well

Ah yes, that's another I was looking at. I was thinking about probably the smaller size ones, since the larger size mouse mat I have now has pushed the keyboard over to the left somewhat. Smaller keyboard would mean I don't have to move more to the left so typing doesn't feel awkward.

I notice on Logitech's site there appears to be orange back light around the keys, does that make any difference in low light? Not that I need to have backlit keys, I am sure I can get to used to putting a light on after moving from Saitek Eclipse. :p I wondered if the back light only benefited the media keys or the whole board.

Dinovo for notebooks!

And the "wave" version:

Lol! What happened to that?

It dawned on me yesterday that I overlooked something. It's very well getting a nice slim keyboard with low profile keys for typing, but how will such a keyboard be for gaming. I did see a comment on some site where a guy said that with the keys closer together, he found it harder playing games. I don't play a huge amount of games, just the odd game at night with friends.

Do any of you guys with slimmer low profile keyboards play games with it, and if so how do you find it?

Over your budget... but I picked up a Logitech Wireless Dinovo Laser keyboard/mouse for £60 from a well known online retailer. Very good bargain as it is listed as £180 on logitechs website.

Oh and I play Arma 2 on this a fair bit. The external keypad is useful since I can position it where I want on the desk for zooming etc.

Just the media keys are backlit, I was in the same boat as yer self had the saitek eclipse then had to get new keyboard was going to get the logitech illuminated one but could'nt justify the £50 tag so went for the K300 like i say very nice laptop style KB. And i find it to be fine in games.
