Recently put together a new system, using a micro case, the problem i have is that my huge ak-965 cooler (so big i can't fit a side case fan) has a side on fan which doesnt get much air flowing to it, causing my e5200 @ 3.33ghz to run high 30's idle.

If i had a low profile or top down cooler i could mount a nice big 12cm fan or cpu tunnel on the side of the case provided direct cold air into the cooler.

- any suggestions for a decent cooler of the above description that is small enough to fit in the micro case and enable me to have a nice big side case fan.

- the ak 965 is measured at 138.4 x 105 x 58mm (not sure which measurement is from motherboard to side of case, will measure later) and the case is 18cm wide.

- also anybody want the ak 965 at a reduced price with box etc used for a few hours?

The following Noctua cooler is reputed to be very good and it is quoted as "Dimensions With Fan H 114mm x W126mm x D152mm" That might fit your needs? - I have the tower version and can recommend their build quality etc - it's expensive but they are very good and it comes with one of their premium 'vortex-control' fans.

Have a look at the low profile coolers from zalman. Great perofrmance and quiet too, my only reservation would be the amount of airflow through the case, doesn't matter how good the cooler is, it still needs cool fresh air being constantly replenised inside the case.
And running a cpu in the high 30s idle is, imho, no problem at all. High 50s would be a prob though, but 30s, no.:)
