Hi guys, i upgraded from a 780 to an 780ti (Super performance jump i know, but i just felt like owning one)

I'm going to sell my 780 to a friend making most of my money back but for now i thought i would try my 780 as a dedicated PhysX card.

Ran some tests on Batman: AC - No PhysX 780ti

Min: 100
Max: 298
Avg: 166

With 780 as dedicated PhysX:

Min: 16 - Maybe an issue that happens when the screen fades to black
Max: 127
Avg: 78

Pretty much the same results i got when i used the 780 as my main card yesterday.

Finally 780Ti doing all the work with PhysX

Min: 68
Max: 160
Avg: 89

I find this very strange, i'm going to test some other games as i've always felt that AC doesn't like my system that much. So i think im going to try Origins, Mafia 2 and some other games. Just wanted to post this to get some opinions, tweaks and share my finding with you fellas.

Have you done multiple runs with each setup? the batman benchmarks can be a bit varied between runs IIRC.

Obviously your going to get some FPS drop over no PhysX and/or CPU PhysX even with a high end dedicated card due to the extra effects/extra complexity of effects.

Oh yeah i did multiple re-runs on Batman, i still think its down to the game not really liking my system.

Just did a Mafia 2 Benchmark and this time the results made me quite happy.

with no PhysX the 780ti Averaged 155
With 780ti doing all the work with PhysX its just skimmed over 60, however a lot of 30fps sections and slow downs were very noticeable.

Then finally with the 780 as a dedicated PhysX card 82fps Average, but the sections that the 780ti could only do 30fps were all gone, much more fluid and engaging experience so im chuffed with those results.
