Have been tempted to upgrade my 3570K rig, but don't quite think i'd get a big enough boost to make the jump, yet. Maybe next revision as obviously to upgrade now I need new board as well as CPU, I'm looking also a decent hop in performance to make the jump

Nope as Intel CPU's do not go EOL, we still sell plenty of 4770k and price points on Intel chips also do not change, the USD cost remains same throughout lifespan.

This was just promo stock which we do from time to time at way below cost to create noise.
