LP GPU

Rx 6400 is probably the best option. It has a few downsides. But there's not a whole lot out there. I think the a2000 is more powerful, but also costs a bunch more and I think it might be 2 slot.

Theres also the gt 1630, but they are a bit like hens teeth. Don't think I've ever actually seen one for sale

Nvidia quadro/a series or AMD radeon pro might be worth a look, they'll be more expensive and lack a bit of performance but they often end up being smaller than the gaming versions.

XFX and Sapphire both make half height, single slot RX 6400’s. The XFX card is called a 105 speedster.

Its mental non of the big vendors are offering an RX 6500xt in half height single slot. It’s would literally be a case of take my money. An 8gb RX 6500xt HH LP at £300-350 Ish would make killing.

I will have a look at the 6400. Are they as fast as my GTX 970 in my other pc?
There or thereabout, faster in some games slower in others. I'd say the 970 is probably more consistent as one of the 6400s weaknesses is memory bandwidth, so anything that hits the vram hard is going to struggle a little bit.

So is the GTX970’s

Tests with cards like RX 570 show that their performance is much more consistent when they exceed the VRAM (especially on PCI-E 3.0, or earlier), cos they have 16 lanes and a 256-bit bus, versus 4 lanes and a 64-bit bus on the 6400. If AMD had given it 8 lanes, it might have been different, annoying.

Quadro T1000 is another option with similar performance to a GTX1650, and has the option of an 8GB card (although probably hasn't got enough horsepower to need 8GB)

Edit:
There are low profile 1650's and even Intel ARC A380's around, but all seem to be dual slot

Or 8gb of VRAM. But it’s a £140 card with 7-8tflops.
