LTO3 tape compatibility

Hi guys, I have a "HP StorageWorks Ultrium 960" drive and I have been using the "Ultrium RW 800GB Data Cartridge - C7973A" because I know they work , but will these cheaper "Maxell LTO3 Ultrium 800GB Data Cartridges" work?

The maxell tapes look like they should work, but the drive says it needs the C7973A tapes?

If its a lto drive any lto tape should work no problem (so long as its less or equal to the number), for the sake of £3 i'd get the HP tape regardless though.

Ummm i might risk it then, as they are like only £6-7 on ebay. Its just because the drive says use the C7973A tapes and that makes me think that other LTO3 tapes wont work..
