Hi all,
Recently, as I am sure many of us do, ended up with a system I built for a relative over a decade ago, that they have replaced:
In short I do not get the 1080p option and I am at a lower reoslution, my ubuntu/linux skills have lapsed (only have a ubuntu server these days),Historically I have gone to additional drivers, but none there for Nvidia. Tried from Nvidia site but opening that in terminal falls over.
its a geforce 7025 I believe, Monster specs:
AM2+ ASrock N68-s
X2 athlon 2400 (I have a x4 chip from ali for £3 as an upgrade)
DDr2 2gb ram
Generic case
The cheapo PSU failed years ago and I put a Seasonic in I had spare!
Its other upgrade is a 256gb Crucial SSD I had spare.
Running Lubuntu latest distro, updated.
Not the end of the world if I cannot get that resolution, its just a research machine for console/controller repairs. Its mainly annoying the monitor complains its not optimal with a warning box, or I probably would not bother.
