Well if this works you'd probably be better off buying two seperate cards rather than X2's.

He says 'uhh' too much. :(

But I would've like to see a comparison between non lucid games to lucid games. We'll see in the future atleast.

Hmm, that Bioshock demonstration looked a bit choppy, though I'm hoping thats just an artifact of the video. Bioshock should be running at 60fps, even on a single card.

I noticed that - but I assumed it was coz the recording cam was only running 25 or 30fps...

Being able to use cards from different manufacturers in Win7 is a great feature when it comes to upgrading. Just being able to purchase the latest card, whatever it is, and add it to what ever you have already simplifies dual card setups.

What is the general idea behind this? Can't be bothered to watch that stupid video!

Basically it's a chip that manages multi-GPU in a totally different way to crossfire or SLi which should, in theory, provide just as good or even better performance. It's unique in that it lets you use two cards that are not only wildly different in performance, but also can have totally different memory amounts and chips (in the video they demonstrate a GTS 250 running alongside a GTX 260). They also claim the chip can take advantage of multiple GPU's produced by different vendors - their example in the video was a GTX260 and a Radeon 4890. However, due to the amount of configurations they have to test with multi-vendor setups, the multi-vendor support won't come until later.
