Hey, have finished uni early today so was considering going to the cinema...
Have just noticed Lucky Number Slevin is on, I haven't seen anything of this movie really but noticed the poster and, what looked like to me, a star studded cast.
Has anyone seen any previews of this or at least a trailer? The only site I seem to find with the trailer is a yahoo movies site, the windows media box is blocked from accesing the video though... :(

What's the general opinion? If I don't see this then it might have to be the Fog.. A movie about ghostly burnt lepers always goes down well... *lies*

The FOG has been slated! Do not go and see it!!!

bah, i would never not see a film purely based on reviews. if i wanted to see it, i'd go regardless of whether it'd done well or not.

I'm planning on seeing Lucky Number Slevin next Wednesday with the other half (do love Orange Wednesdays) - saw a long trailer for it in the cinema this week.
As for The Fog - well the original is a classic and more so, it is actually scary.
I can only assume that the remake is either:

A. A total remake - In which case the story is OK and just expect more gore.
B. A typical "We'll use the name but change everything else" - Which means god only knows what the end result will be!

Even if I could guarantee it would send you to sleep?

Stoofa the answer to your question is B.

If you want to see the Fog, watch the original.

I heard the acting is good in The Fog just the film is not good.

But any true fan of the original film would see this anyways to see the comparison, everybodys opinion differs, which is why i take critics views with a pinch of salt.

that's not a guarantee you could make. the fact that i dont want to see that particular film is neither here nor there

Your right it's not, but I thought I could slip it past you. Just on the off chance you're having a bad day.

This is true, but I've yet to see/hear/read a good review about the film.

"errr director, i just noticed a typo in the name."

"DAMN - how did no one notice?!?, that's pretty big, ok just ROLL WITH IT"

OK, I went and saw Lucky Number Slevin and all I can say is that it's brilliant!
I really enjoyed it all the way through and for a good while I was mighty confused... :D

Not gonna turn it into a classic spoilers thread, someone else can do that later! Seriously though, I recommend this film just for decent action and storyline alone.

watched it last night, loved it. Bruce Willis has got to be my all time fav actor i just love so many of his movies. I could see the ending coming a mile off though but was still good.

OT. For some reason one man was laughing at every little thing all the way through the film, was so annoying.

I had people speaking infront of me, seriously ruined some parts, just leeches all atmosphere away from a film. :(
It wasn't until just a bit after half way through the twist sort of clicked, in an "oh... wait a minute" moment. Love it when that happens!

if that ever happens to me, the people in front normally get a short sharp "STFU!!" from me. i hate when people dont know how to watch a film. i've had people ejected for it because it annoys me so much.

Watched on Sunday and i have to say i really enjoyed, a few plot twists, obviously i wont say anything other than that. I certainly recommend people go see it.
