I've seen a fair few people have 8 degrees difference betwween cores with their Quads. How is this looking?

Sharkoon 2000 spinning at 800RPM :)

seems a bit hot to me ,but only 800rpm so you could turn it up also i take it thats idle temp heres mine around the same difference in cores

I'll be happy when the cores are together on the one die then this temperature difference between cores should be failrly minimal. Gets annoying having 8-10c difference and having to prat around with lapping or screwing around with heatsink mounts to make one side tighter to try to even out the differential.

those temps arent bad for stock, what cooler are you using? i get 34c idle and 56c load at 3.6GHz with a thermalright Ultra 120

I'm using the same cooler as you with a Sharkoon 2000 on it. Fan speek kicks up to full when the CPU gets quite hot. Testing 3.6Ghz atm, 1.45v bios 1.402 in CPU-Z cores are at 77 77 80 80

I am with Gerard on this one, wish mine were that close together, running prime atm at 3.2GHz with stock volts and have temps of 62 56 57 62.

My HSF is the standard ThermalRight U120A lapped with a lapped Q6600.

Blimey you guys have some good temp, I'm at vid 1.2625, running my G0 at 334*9 and after 27 minutes of Prime95 using the blend option to test both CPU and RAM my temps peaked at 63, 63, 60, 60 but have now just fallen to 61, 61, 58, 58.

EDIT: Just running the small FFT test and the temps are sitting at 63, 63, 61, 61.

Well I took the mickey with the quad last night, got it CPU-Z stable at 4.2Ghz. Had to stick 1.7v (1.65 after vdrop) through it  idle of 62 degrees

Well I also had a play with my rig, turns out if I take the side windowed panel off whilst the CPU temps are at 63 they come down by a whopping 10 degrees. The Lian Li case I have only has a measly 80mm fan on the back which I've modded to be temp controlled. I think either the stock fan is rubbish or my temp controlled circuitry sucks a big one :(

Can't wait untill I ready to move on from my Q6600.... Will shove maximum voltage through it and stress it to hell. I wonder how long it will last?
