Am in need of some new luggage, just a standard cabin carry-on and one largish suitcase will do.

Been looking around at all the reviews and it's a minefield. I was quite taken with the Monos stuff but I've seen quite a few comments saying it's not all that and to steer clear.

The biggest issue these days is you can't get your hands on most of them in a retail store and just have to go on reviews and videos.
Frankly I'm half tempted to just get some Samsonite stuff from JL as it looks decent and at least I can get my mitts on it first.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks. Not cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.

Quite like the Torq line.
Lifetime functional guarantee was worth it for me. The wheels on my four wheel expander get worn down no matter what; so a quick email to get a new set was worth it - vs. the throwaway Antlers I've had over the years.

Damn that's not cheap!

I've got an eastpac soft luggage thing that has been on numerous trips, I could replace that 5-6 times before the price of those!

I travel overseas 2-3 times a month, most months and always use Away travel, love there stuff and there support is amazing.

I love my Osprey backpack. Been round and round the world, and it’s held up great. They do a number of carryon bags. I’d definitely get one if I needed one.

Have a look at costco samsonite sets, I got them for travelling to Boston last year and we love them. Nice comfy handle and well built, carry on has a passthrough for phone charging.

Still mulling and considering whether to spend more on a couple of better quality bags.

I do quite like the Briggs & Riley Torq Carry-on Spinner.

Does anyone have any opinions on Carl Friedrik as I also quite like their Carry-on X?

Victorinox seem to have good reviews for their luggage.
Wenger used to be quite good too, but I think that was more for their commuter stuff than the soft airline range.

Depends what features you want...

@Vertigo what did you go with in the end?

I like the look of the baseline briggs and riley but they are spenny... is it worth it? Hmmm.
