On the reference coolers? Lol no chance! I can keep decent temps with these settings and still maintain a 10% core overclock from a stock 290 Pro.

I guess 'decent' temps is a subjective term... (I bet Kaap's definition of decent temps would be different to yours for example )
I could argue with mine at stock (volts and clocks) I can keep decent temps (with a custom fan profile).

Aha but you said you hate noise!

What temps and fan speeds? With these settings i can keep temps in the 80-85c range (depending on game played and if i use vsync or not and fan speeds from 50-55%.) I could keep it cooler if i used a more aggressive fan profile. That's with a 10% overclock as well.

I do hate noise, but you didn't mention noise, you just said temps.
Also, I'm the one arguing that reference 290s are loud, you argue that they're silent.
I imagine Kaap would be panicing a bit if his cards hit 80-85ºC! I'd be surprised if Kaap's temps were much more than 60ºC?

I never said they were silent! I said they were not as loud as people make out, which they aren't. I did say they were silent at idle though, which they are.

I doubt Kaap's cards go much over 50C tbh.

Another thought, although more work for LtMatt, how about a section for CPU+GPU?
I'd also be interested to see just the CPU results, but not really the right sub-forum for that. CPU+GPU could go in either though, I'd guess a lot of GPU benchmarks are affected by CPU anyway.

I do have a reserved section so that could be added at a later date.

Don't worry though, im sure Kaap will be along to take all the crowns soon. He's the only one posting water cooled 290 benchmarks so we've got no chance against him.

Read it and weep Shanksy boi. Had to use Windows 8 diagnostic startup to get these scores. Can't beat you on Complex though, will have to settle for a draw, though i suppose i theoretically take 1st place as i have slightly lower gpu clocks.

14.4 Beta is definitely scoring higher than 14.4 WHQL for me.

Been having a quick play with this.

I've noticed a few things...

1. Uncle Petey that's a good score, my 7950s don't come close to that! (Although they're not clocked nearly as high)
2. While I can't beat Humbug's Single card score, I think my 7950s probably beat him on Bang-for-Buck based on their score. I think Uncle Petey's 7970CF probably beat that though, depending on how much he paid.
3. The application seems to detect and display the clocks you were using when you loaded the application, however the score reflects the clocks you were actually running.

Yes it does not detect core overclocks so its important for people to list them. Scores definitely improve with overclocking though.

How do you find TriXX?

I only use it on my 7770 system as it allows for 1.35v where as afterburner only allows 1.3v.

Oh, didn't notice that it didn't detect overclocks at all (only noticed it at all after seeing Uncle Petey's screenshots, which do show his clocks correctly.

I've not noticed it detecting the correct clocks on Hawaii, but i don't recall if i actually restarted the program. Test it and post your results gm.

Your scores look a tad low in my opinion considering your clocks used. I recommend updating to 14.4 beta drivers and running each test more than once to improve your scores.
