Been looking at these myself as well. Most prices being thrown around are in dollars at the moment, but looks to be about £220 for the 500gb Evo after currency conversation and tax and such.
I have a Samsung SM951 256GB and an Intel 600p 512GB. The SM951 is fast for the stuff I have used it for (database work), have not tried it with other things. I just got the Intel 600p to use as a games drive as it’s a lot cheaper than most other makes and the write speed should not mater that much for games. I have only tried Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Apex on the 600p so far. Think its ok but it gets hot (50C+ at idle), have ordered some small heatsinks to put on it, hopefully that will sort it.
Both the 960 evo and pro share the same 'polaris' controller chip as the SM961 but there will be some other slight differences outside of aesthetics' mostly down to the nand used the chip layout on the 2tb pro to squeeze all the chips in and a buffer on the evo to keep up read/write speeds until its full
