i know you pretty much can use an ssd as storage, but do they suit the job better?

so saturday prior to fixing my ryzen i purchased my first m.2 drive to test and to test the slot(bios displays it), its a 128gb kingspec, got it because i like my 2 x 64gb ssd kingspecs plus the cheapest decent drive with prime, now my ryzen is setup outside the case with no drives as im still using them and so, because i dont want another 120gb boot or a kingspec as my boot drive for main pc(okay for my 2nd) i was going to see about offloading applications/launchers to it leaving drivers and system related/updates on my boot drive, but is that a good solution?

i do want a skylake/kabylake or 2200g with m.2 support to replace my 2nd pc, i could save my drive for that instead if its better? im use to my mech drives for storage.

thanks for reply.

im guessing its just a normal m.2 sata? i typed in m.2 ssd on the zon and this is what came up, i know nothing about these drives lol, i didnt even know they fit to the board like a ramp either.

no games will touch my boot drives and ive been making a point to have any game recordings i make go to my 2tb drive, pictures will go there too if i havent already changed it, my idea was to have the game launchers like steam, origin, uplay, epic games launcher along with my downloaded apps like ccleaner, cpu-z, gpu-z, afterburner, copytrans, buildbox, chrome, stuff like that which dont need to be on the boot drive while keeping a ssd like speed of action and allowing my boot drive to be free of space for important system stuff/drivers.
