Hi all

I've ordered an M.2 SSD which comes with an optional stick on heatspreader. My new motherboard has a built in heatsink for the drive to sit under. Should I attach the heatspreader first or just stick the thermal pad from the heatsink directly onto the chips? I suppose this would be the same question for if I'd bought a drive with a pre-attached heatspreader, would I take it off?

Thanks

If the motherboard has a built in one, don't attach the one with the drive, it'll cause massive problems. The motherboard one has a thermal pad already attached :)
