m.2 ssd Slow Graphics Card down?

Hi all,

I have a 980ti in my first PCI-E slot

I was thinking of getting the following to replace my Crucial Sata 3 SSD

Samsung MZHPV256HDGL-00000 - SM951 256GB M.2 PCI-e
Lycom DT-120, PCIe 3.0 x4 Host Adapter for M.2

Will this slow down my graphics card at all?

Putting it in the 2nd x16 slot will mean your two x16 slots run at x8. This should not make a difference, you'd struggle to measure it let alone feel the difference.

I don't think you will be able to boot from the drive on your z87 board though.
