Has anyone moved from an M.2 SSD to one of the newer M.2 NVMe drives which seem faster on spec.

But can you see any difference in normal use or is it just faster in a benchtest or on paper :)

Given that you'll struggle to notice the difference between a really old "slow" SSD and a more modern one that is zomgz fast on paper I can't imagine that there would be any difference here either.

If buying an SSD I would either buy a 2.5", probably an 850 Evo/Pro, or an M.2 PCIe/NVMe drive.

But if you already have an M.2 drive, especially if it's a PCIe one rather than a SATA one, I wouldn't upgrade just for NVMe.
