M-SATA to SATA Adapters

I have a small M-SATA drive that I would like to use in a HTPC. If I purchase one of these will it give me SATA3 speeds? The M-SATA SSD is SATA3 speeds (550/530) so M-SATA to SATA Converters I would have thought that most adapters would be just pass through and just convert the pins/power without altering the functionality/data transfer.

Any ideas?
