Phone your Local dealers parts department and they will ask your Reg no.
You should be able to request the part number and they will have it on their computer system.
Then you can ask them for a quote and buy from them or go to a motor factors and ask what options they have.
That is my experience with my car manufacturer anyway, other manufacturers may be anal about giving you the part numbers I guess.

It's the Lower Control Arm - Autodoc has them cheap (get their mobile app for bigger discount and wait for 42-46% off), go for Lemforder.

They make parts for BMW, you'll see that the M logo is grinded off - they're made in the same factory, but ones sold by 3rd parties can't have the M logo for legal reasons.
Edit: TRW also makes BMW parts, but I know that Lemforder makes parts for BMW M cars.

Isn't autodoc despatched from Germany or somewhere? Id be wary as ordered from there once before and had to wait longer than expected for delivery

I also bought from a Lithuanian seller from eBay once, because it was cheaper but should have read the description it said despatch in 10 days. Item sill wasn't despatched after 3 weeks, but they did cancel and refund upon request. Ordered from another seller in UK and item arrived in 2 days.

Just had the same issue with my Volvo except it failed on both sides, and yes it needed two arms although I'd have replaced both regardless.
I would certainly pay someone else to do it, it is a pig of a job on the driveway to do.

As I said I did it about a month ago, it wasn't fun, to be honest I wasn't far off giving up at a few points.
You watch it on YouTube and it's easy they are doing it on new fresh everything, and I suspect there is lots of editing.
When everything has been there for 15 years and rusted and seized on it's not so much fun.
To be honest I suspect some are easier than others, I watched a YouTube of someone doing it on a Tesla and it did look genuinely much easier.
That being said, now I've done it once, I probably would do it again, I'll though I'd buy a few more different sized pry bars.
Indeed, my V70 is 18 years old and has ~206k under its wheels, I just knew an attempt to diy at home would have ended in snapping bolt misery!
I've watched numerous automotive diy videos which always look suspiciously easy to do, the few I've attempted have been anything but!
