hi,

think i know what the outcome is, but before i bin the ****** can i please check with you all?

samsung 860 m.2 1tb used as storage drive alongside 970 evo plus m.2 1tb as OS drive.
went to play tunes today, windows cant find file.
the 860 cant be seen in explorer
can't see it in bios.
swapped slots, can't see drive.
removed cmos battery, reset, cant see drive.

is it dead?
i have had a few power loss/lock up events recently.

your thoughts please? thanks in advance.

Samsung 860 won't ever show up in PCIe drives, because it's SATA drive.

But if it disappeared suddenly, it's likely dead.
It starting to break and up causing erroneous communication could have also been behind those shutdowns/lock ups.

thanks,
does not show up in disk management at all.
lockups are possibly memory, a couple of them were caused by case being knocked (large cooler)
games are held on that drive also, lockups generally occur when gaming. possibly a drive issue as you say...
