Hi guys basically my current system was running on an 850 evo 1TB standard SSD, I've got a 970 EVO 1TB SSD.

I've clipped it into the only M2 Slot on my motherboard Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 for reference, I used samsung data migration to copy my 850 drive onto the 970, but when going into the BIOS menu I haven't been able to find it in the boot priority menu.

when im on my normal setup I can see the 970 in the disk management menu when booted into windows on the 850, but when trying to find it in the bios its impossible can somebody point me in the right directions of all the changes I need to make and what I need to be able to do to boot up on the M2 970?

As once I've got it booting I can erase the old drive and move it to a different system its going in... I'm hoping some guru here has some solution for me I've followed about 15 youtube videos and none helped :(

says the sata3 4/5 connectors won't work when the M2 is connected thats not the issue its it not showing up in the BIOS as a bootable device, but it shows up in my disk management im confused to hell! :(

I could try flashing my BIOS to the latest version, do you think that would help not really wanting to go the route of having to buy an extra adapter I thought having an M2 slot on my Mobo would mean im just missing a simple setting change or something somewhere that im not seeing, trouble is every youtube video hasn't helped and none are specific about hte gigabyte motherboard which is a pain! just want it to work now lol
