M2 possible?

Just wondering if theres a way to attach an m2 ssd to my Z97N Gaming 5 motherboard? its got a mini pcie slot where the wifi card currently resides

Mini PCI-E and mSATA are identical to look at, but the way they work is completely different. Unless you can get an adapter to make the port accept PCI-E - or an M2 SSD directly - then the only way you can use one is through an adapter in the PCI-E slot.

In short; unfortunately you can't unless you sacrifice the PCI-E slot.

Is m2 the same as msata?

I don't use wifi anyway
