Hi Folks,

I've got an Intel home server for Plex. I store my library across 3 4TB M2 NVMe SSD Drives.

My motherboard is now fully populated, so I grabbed one of those bifurcation cards only to find its not a function supported on intel 14th gen CPUs.

Can anyone recommend a PCI M2 NVMe RAID card, ideally RAID 5. It is seemingly rather hard to find them.

Yeah, but 12,13 and 14th gen should bifurcate to x8/x8 so if you get a qnap quad pcie ssd expansion card which has a pcie switch chip on it, the card will talk to the CPU at x8, and will multiplex each of the nvme ssds installed through that x8 connection rather than separate x4/x4/x4/x4 which the cheaper cards do. It’s a more expensive card, potentially overall lower performance (x8 instead of x16 ) but it’ll still be fast

I think it’s a card meant for their bigger nas enclosures but I think it does work in normal computers. You’d need to do your reading up. I stumbled across it looking for similar to you for my unraid machine, but I’ve not needed it yet
