M225 SSD firmware

Ok so i got my new SSD, its fantastic too. anyways i wanted to know how can i tell what firmware version i have? Does flashing to latest cause any problems with the data on it already? (i spent a few days already tweeking selectivly installing stuff on my new ssd and would rather not do again) and where do i look for a guide on how to flash this SSD if it is required.

got it cheers. took me ages to figure out i had to change to ide mode first, was very frustrating haha but thats my fault for not looking first.
