Help. I got flashed on the M25 I have had my licence for 7 months. Will I lose my licence? It was showing 40mph and I think I was going around 42-45mph. Pls help as I am really worried.

You won't have been flashed doing a needle indicated 42-45 anyway, so must have been going faster :p
Or someone else got flashed and OP thought it was them. Most cameras are set to ACPO guidelines which is +10% then an extra 2MPH However not all forces follow this. In OP’s case they’d have been ok doing 45-46 to account for Speedo inaccuracy.

You won't lose your license unless you already have points on it. You'll get a speed awareness course or 3 points at the worst. Equally, it may be that absolutely nothing happens. I used to commute on the M25 every day, always considerably in excess of the speed limit when possible. I forgot to brake for a camera once, got flashed, never heard anything. They don't all issue tickets, although many do.

You should get offered a speed awareness course afaik, even though you're a newly qualified driver, it all depends on your speed and if the local force even offer them.

But as @mrk said, you wouldn't have even set the camera off if you were doing 45, indicated on the speedo, as that's about 43 actual speed.

Speed awareness courses can be offered for speeds between 10% +2 and 10% +9 over the limit, so for a 40 that's 46 - 53

I also got flashed once idk if that makes a difference?
You'll find out in approx. 14 days

On a serious note, it's pointless worrying about. If you've been caught there's nothing you can do about it and you'll get what you get. If you really were doing under 50 then at worst you'll get 3 points and £100 but more likely a speed awareness course will be offered.

Prob a motorway awareness course. I had same for 48 in a 40 on the M4. Not to be confused with a speed awareness course.
